Mashomack Polo is a premier polo destination located in Pine Plains, New York. As the director of communications and Polo School development, Ellie Briana helped grow our network and boost engagement 25% in the first season. Ellie Briana supported prospecting and onboarding of new members, assisted professional coaching staff in the developmental polo program, and coordinated tournaments and practices, including the first Mashomack Ladies' Polo tournament.
PoloPlan App
PoloPlan app makes polo planning easy! Ellie Briana collaborates with the global team of owners, developers, players, and sponsors to build the functionality of the PoloPlan app. While consulting on new features for clubs, supporting marketing, and creating content, Ellie Briana helps drive downloads and improve the experience and effectiveness of the app.
Hong Kong Polo Development
As the Marketing Director of Hong Kong Polo Development and the team manager of the Hong Kong Polo group, Ellie Briana is building the profile of polo in Asia. Vakiano at Greenwich Polo Club
Beginning in 2019, Ellie Briana partnered with Vakiano Artisans to launch their brand in the US and grow their sales opportunities globally. Vakiano specializes in luxury handcrafted products inspired by the polo lifestyle, and was a perfect fit for brand activation with Greenwich Polo Club. Vakiano proudly supplies prizes for the East Coast Open at Greenwich Polo Club, and products are available at Farmington Polo Club, Lionel Smith (Aiken), Manhattan Saddlery, and online.
Manhattan Riding Club and Northeast Polo
Beginning in 2019, Ellie Briana partnered with Manhattan Riding Club to grow opportunities for riders in the NYC area to try indoor and outdoor polo lessons. Since the wonderful collaboration began, many new students have joined lessons at NYC Polo, Kirby Hill, and Meadowbrook Polo. After a few seasons, riders are moving up into practices, tournaments, and international polo holidays! We are so proud of our players' progress!
Hong Kong Polo Cup, Tianjin China
On October 13-14th, Ellie Briana, in conjunction with the Hong Kong Polo Development Group, will host the Hong Kong Polo Cup at Tianjin Metropolitan Polo Club. Recurring: Polo Training Trips, Argentina
Ellie Briana hosts all-inclusive recurring polo trips to Argentina with Lucas Luján, Manager of King Power Polo, and local clubs in Pilar and Open Door including La Cañada, Magual, and La Loma. The adventure includes 1-on-1 coaching for daily morning lessons and afternoon chukkers, all meals prepared by our private chef at our luxurious private ranch, and cultural activities. We would love for you to join us for a future trip, so please get in touch for support in planning a polo holiday. Most recently, the Kirby Hill and NYC Polo Teams traveled for the 2022 Argentine Open and enjoyed a week of trying horses, competing at La Canada, and enjoying time with our hosts at La Loma Polo and Magual polo for lessons and practices.
Polo Holiday Asia, Women in Polo Exchanges

Winter Polo with Dubai Polo Academy
Ellie Briana will be coordinating exchanges with Steve Thompson of Dubai Polo Academy. Dubai Polo Academy has been a great supporter of EB Communications polo projects and team development in Asia. We're excited to have the opportunity to improve our polo with Steve and DPA while strengthening our global polo network. Join us!
Pro-Am Asia Invitational, Siam Polo Park
Ellie Briana co-hosted tournaments with the team at Siam Polo Park, at the VS Sports Club Complex, Thailand's home of King Power Polo. The first cup was hosted in conjunction with Ellie Briana's Hong Kong Polo Development project, and the following tournament will included players from other clubs in Asia. Pro players who are coaching newer players in Asia will be included on each club's team to help boost the level of play and strengthen team longevity as polo continues to expand in Asia.
PAST PROJECTS AND EVENTS
Polo School Mexico
Polo School Mexico
Together with polo professional Miguel Gomez de Parada, Ellie co-founded the first formal polo school in Mexico City. Ellie spent three months preparing to formally launch Polo School Mexico, setting up a business plan, conducting market research, working with web design to establish the brand online, and finally by opening the school. For the 5 years that Ellie lived in Mexico, Polo School Mexico was the premier polo school in the country, providing lessons, horse livery, sales, tournament event production, and community gatherings. Ellie brought many new players to the sport and built the foundation for future successful Mexican polo school programs, which are still operating sustainably in Mexico. Ellie was particularly influential in the formation of Women's Polo in Mexico, and she loves meeting up around the world to play with former students and teammates. She still visits to play often!
Mexico Polo Tour
Together with Top Sports, Ellie helped promote Mexico's first low-goal tournament circuit designed to build momentum around the new wealth and new talent concentrating at the foundational level of the sport. Teaming up with Ana Gonzalez de Nennie, Rafa Valdez, and Alfonso Torres, Ellie formed the only team with women participants on the tour. This event circuit helped Ellie further develop skills in team management, polo logistics, and event production. She thanks Tucané, and Top Sports for the experience!
Acapulco Beach Polo Cup - PoloLine
Together with Ignacio Egido, the Federacion Mexicana de Polo, Billy Steta, and the team from PoloLine, Ellie helped organize a high-goal arena polo tournament at the luxury Tres Vidas Acapulco Beach Resort. As the highest level of arena polo played in Mexico to date, the event showcased top talents of Nic Roldan, Carlitos Gracida, Brandon Philips, Kris Kampsen, Valerio Aguilar, Miguel Gomez de Parada, Luis Cabrera, and more.
Ellie organized the women's exhibition game, featuring players from the USA, Mexico, and France. She also coordinated sponsors, sales, play accommodation, and social events for the event. This project strengthened Ellie's skills for working with high-end clients, high-goal players, and luxury branding in exclusive events. Ellie thanks Banyan Tree and FashionTV for hosting the press conference and jersey presentation, La Martina for our tournament prizes, and GlamOut Mexico for their collaboration in organizing social activities and celebrity presence. Media for this event reached over 15 million views.
International Pro-Am Ladies Metropolitan Polo
Tianjin, China
In November 2018, Ellie Briana Communications' "EB Polo Team" competed representing Ellie Briana Communications in the Ladies Pro-Am tournament, the second ladies tournament of its kind held in China. Ellie teamed up with Raffi Goeschl (Vienna), Eclair Chen (Beijing), and Jessie Chang (Hong Kong) to compete with pros and help give more amateur players the opportunity to start competing. Female pros joined the tournament from Argentina and the UK, with low-goal players participating from the USA, Germany, China, Hong Kong, and Canada.
